MEGALOS PLATANOS AXIOUPOLIS

A cooling giant, the large plane tree 200 years old, 33 meters high and with a perimeter of 15 meters is located at the exit of Axiopolis to Goumenissa. A really rare monument of nature that the view will enchant you!

KOTZA DERE

The large, rapid stream that moves in beautiful mixed deciduous forests, before reaching Axios.

Its springs are located on the northern slopes of Mount Paiko on the border of the prefectures of Pella and Kilkis. The stream is also known as the Stream of May Day, as every year on this day, the inhabitants of the nearby settlements gather on its banks, at the height of Pigi, to have fun.

AXIOUPOLIS MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY

WATERMILL GIAPANTZI

The traditional restored watermill of the Traianos Giapatzis family, was built in the late 18th century and operated from 1860 to 1970 for the production of flour.

It is located at the exit of Goumenissa, on the road to Griva.
